For PPF, ceramic coating, tint, wrap and detailing shops

Schedule the bay, not just the appointment.

Waxhawk books every job around your bays, your technicians and cure time. A bay is never booked twice at once, and cure time takes up bay time without tying up a technician.

Joining opens an email to hello@waxhawk.com.

Jordan finishes the coating in Bay 1 and moves on to tint in Bay 3 while the coating cures. The car cures in Bay 1 with no technician attached, so Bay 1 stays booked until it's done.

The problem

Generic booking tools schedule people. Your shop runs on bays.

  • The car is gone from the calendar, not from the bay

Once the coating is on, the technician is free, but the car still has to cure in that bay. A calendar that only tracks people sees an open slot and books the next car into it.

  • Padding the calendar leaves bays empty

To stay safe, shops block out whole days for coatings and wraps. The bay sits idle for hours that could have held a tint job or a detail.

  • Technicians wait out the cure

When a job ties the technician to the bay until curing ends, nobody can book them on anything else, even though they're free to work.

How it works

From setup to pickup

  1. Set up your shop

Add your bays and what each one is for, your opening hours and closed days, and your team with their skills and shifts.

  2. Build services the way you run them

Split each service into work steps and cure steps. Set a base price and adjust price and work time for small, medium, large and extra-large vehicles.

  3. Book the job

Pick the customer, their vehicle, a service or package and any add-ons. Waxhawk finds the earliest time on your chosen day when a suitable bay and a qualified technician are free for every step, cure included.

  4. Run the day

See the schedule by bay, then move each job along as it happens: checked in, in progress, curing, ready, picked up.

Features

Built around how a bay actually gets used

  • No double-booked bays

A bay can only hold one job at a time. Waxhawk re-checks the bay and technician when the job is saved, so two people booking at once can't take the same slot.

  • Cure time without a technician

Mark a step as cure time and, by default, the car cures in its bay, which stays booked with no technician attached, so your technician can start the next job. Count cure time around the clock or during open hours only.

  • Bays matched to the work

Give bays a type, like a tint bay or a clean room for PPF, and set which type each service needs. Bays without a type can take any job.

  • Technicians by skill and shift

Record each person's skills and level, weekly shifts and time off. Jobs go to someone who is qualified and on shift, never to the same person twice at once.

  • Jobs that run over several days

Build a long service from steps and each work step is split into a block per open day, skipping the days you're closed. Cures set to run around the clock keep going overnight.

  • Prices by vehicle size

Larger vehicles can cost more and take longer to work on, while cure time stays the same. Combine services into packages, offer add-ons, and mark custom work as quote required.

  • Customers and their vehicles

Keep each customer's contact details and vehicles. Each job keeps a snapshot of the vehicle and its price at the time of booking.

  • Today at a glance

The dashboard shows today's jobs, bays in use and who's on shift, and flags team members who are off today.

  • Owner and staff accounts

Owners set up bays, services, hours, the team and customer records. Staff sign in to book jobs for saved customers and run the schedule.

Who it's for

Shops where the bay is the bottleneck

  • Paint protection film

Long installs that can run into a second day, often in a dedicated clean bay.

  • Ceramic coating

Coatings that need cure time before the car can leave the bay.

  • Window tint

Short, frequent jobs that fit around the longer installs.

  • Vinyl wrap

Multi-day projects that hold a bay from teardown to post-heat.

  • Detailing

Washes, corrections and prep work that fill the gaps between bigger jobs.

FAQ

Questions shops ask

What is the pilot?

We're working with a small group of shops to set up Waxhawk on their real bays, services and team, and to shape what we build next. Email us a little about your shop, like how many bays you have and which services you offer, and we'll reply with next steps.

Can my customers book online?

Not yet. During the pilot your team books jobs in Waxhawk. Online booking for your customers is coming soon.

Does it send reminders or take payments?

No. Waxhawk handles scheduling, pricing by vehicle size and job status today. It saves each job's price at booking but doesn't take payments or send messages.

Do jobs have to fit in one day?

No. Work steps can run across several open days, skipping the days you're closed, and cure time can count overnight or only during open hours.
